What about my children? (those 13 and under)

Q: Do they need a visa at all?
A: Yes. Malaysians need a visa to travel to the U.S. And every Malaysian, no matter how young needs a visa in their passport to travel.

Q: Do they need to pay the Application Fees and VFS Logistic Fee?
A: Yes, they do

Q: Do they need to schedule an interview appointment?
A: Yes, unless they qualify for the drop box submissions (they are 13 and under, and both parents already have valid visas), they will need to schedule an interview appointment through VFS. Parents should schedule the family as a group.

Q: Do they have to come for the interview?
A: No, children under 13 do not have to come for the interview, even though the U.S. Embassy needs to have them on the appointment schedule. Their parents do have to bring their passports, application, fee receipt and photograph.

Q: Can my child use the Drop Box?
