Fees
Application Fee
Each applicant, including children, is required to pay a non-refundable, non
transferable Machine Readable Visa (MRV) fee, commonly known as
an application fee, whether the visa is issued or refused. The application fee
is in addition to any other fees pertaining to your visa category and must
be paid prior to your interview at any Alliance Bank
branch.
The fees payable at Alliance Bank per passport are: -
1. Visa Application Fee (MRV Fee): $140 in equivalent RM 480 for B1/B2 and F,M or J Visas, $150 in equivalent RM510 for H,L,O,P,Q and R visas and $390 for E Visas at consular rate of exchange.
2. Service Charge for VFS Services : RM
32(inclusive of GST @ 5%)
IMPORTANT: Your Alliance Bank fee receipt will be activated 1
working day after the date of its purchase. Please, do not attempt to
schedule an appointment until that time.
The above fees are non refundable . You must schedule an interview
within 1 year (365 days) from the date you obtained your Alliance Bank fee
receipt. If you do not schedule an interview within 1 year, you will not be
able to use that Alliance Bank fee receipt--it will no longer be valid. The
Alliance Bank fee receipt is deemed as utilized once the interview takes place,
and cannot be used to make a subsequent appointment.
After you have paid the application and the service charges, please keep the
Alliance Bank fee receipt for your records to carry for submission at the
Embassy during your scheduled appointment.
Application Fee Exceptions:
The following do not have to pay the visa application fee (MRV Fee):
J visa applicants participating in a U.S.-sponsored Exchange Visitor Program
(these program codes start with G-1, G-2, G-3, G-7);
Applicants for A, G, C-3, and diplomatic visas (defined in 22 CFR 41.26)
Replacement of visa when the original visa was not properly affixed or needs to
be reissued through no fault of the applicant;
U.S. Government employees traveling on official business; and
A parent, sibling, spouse or child of a U.S. Government employee killed in the
line of duty who is traveling to attend the employee's funeral and/or burial;
or a parent, sibling, spouse, son or daughter of a U.S. Government employee
critically injured in the line of duty for visitation during emergency
treatment and convalescence.
Issuance Fee:
Additionally, applicants from certain countries may be required to pay a visa
issuance fee USD 9 on a reciprocal basis after having a successful interview.
At the end of the interview, the consular officer will instruct you on how to
pay this fee.
Issuance Fee Exception:
Applicants participating in a U.S. Government-sponsored program.
SEVIS Fee:
The Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) is an Internet-based system that tracks F, M and J visa participants (and their family members) from the time they receive their initial documentation (either an I-20 or a DS-2019) until they graduate/leave school or conclude/leave program.
F, M and J visa principal applicants: Check with your U.S. school to make sure your information has been entered into SEVIS. If your I-20 or DS-2019 was issued on or after September 1, 2004, you will need to pay a fee of USD 131 in addition to the application fee. For nonimmigrant students with Form I-20, the fee is USD 200 and for most exchange visitors with DS-2019, the fee is USD180. Proof of payment is required before your student visa will be issued. Please bring your I-901 SEVIS fee receipt to the interview.The SEVIS fee website is

SEVIS Fee Exception:
Applicants participating in a U.S. Government-sponsored program (program codes
start with G-1, G-2, G-3, G-7).
Blanket L Fraud Prevention and Detection Fee:
The principal applicant (only) of a blanket L petition must pay the USD 500
Fraud Prevention and Detection fee.
Note: The U.S. petitioner pays this Fraud Prevention and Detection Fee for
individual L, H-1B and H-2B petitions when they file them with USCIS.
